Four shades allow you to play with a variety of colours to achieve maximum eye impact. With any shade combination, make sure you tap off excess shadow from your applicator so you get the smoothest application.

And, of course, always blend. There should never be any hard lines or edges.

To get it right, use the right tool. A rounded shadow brush is best for all-over application and blending, while a slanted brush is great for contouring. A sponge applicator is good for all-purpose application and especially for adding highlights. Use a smudger or the tip of the applicator to smudge your liner or when you’re applying shadow as a soft liner.
